Grum announces “Unreality” on Anjunabeats and releases first single

Grum teams up with Sealine for his latest track, “Disconnected”, which also marks the first single from his upcoming album. Unreality.

Apparently, nothing stands in the way of grum as he continues to win the hearts of Anjuna family members and beyond with his progressive house style. Every release is dripping with sublime progressive and rave-influenced sounds – great outings on Anjunabeats to like Deep State and the Reconnect and Isolation EP to others like Heartbeats on its own footprint. Now, after a fantastic run in 2021 and selecting tracks for Flight Reactor. 2 earlier this year, Grum announced his return to Anjunabeats with Unreality.

Officially scheduled for June 24, Unreality is set to present 14 new tracks from this electronic music maestro as he explores the duality of his own history over the past few years. Just like other performing artists in 2020 who were stuck at home and yearning for the chance to get back on stage, Grum has also experienced this. But instead of remaining inactive, he got to work in the studio and explored his own influences – with the result being exhibited on Unreality.

The first half was mostly in the summer of 2020. With all that free time, and as a form of therapy, I started rediscovering a lot of 80s music that I loved and hadn’t listened to since a long time. It turned into doing special 80s livestreams to connect with my fans. There’s definitely a bit of nostalgia here for simpler, happier times.

While the first half centers on that feeling of nostalgia felt by Grum, he said the second half offers a “a darker rave apocalypse feel.” The first taste of this side of Unreality arrived with the announcement of the album as he delivered his first single”Unplugged.” Teaming up with Sealine on this track, Grum steps into the night with techno-infused elements and a bassline that will have everyone feeling energized and ready to dance the night away in a warehouse.
